After being in a car accident it can be difficult if you don't receive the right care. We want you to know that Crater Chiropractic is here for you. Dr. Warren and Dr. Powell have helped patients recover from car crash injuries naturally and safely with effective chiropractic care. Chiropractic medicine can reduce and improve the healing process.

Will my car insurance cover my medical bills?

No, you do not need a referral for treatment. In Oregon, your insurance cannot tell you what doctor to go to, it is your choice to be assessed and treated by the doctor of your choice. Chiropractors do not need a referral to treat patients following an auto accident.

Do I need a referral?

Yes, your auto insurance will pay medical bills, including passengers and at-fault drivers. In Oregon, we have Personal Injury Protection (PIP) attached to our car insurance policy.

Should I get treatment?

If you feel different following a car accident you should get treatment. Car accidents don't necessarily need to be high-speed collisions to cause injury. Auto accidents mainly cause soft-tissue injuries and if left untreated can cause problems in the future.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Overview

All auto insurance policies in Oregon must include personal injury protection, which provides coverage if you’re injured due to operating or maintaining a vehicle. No matter who is at fault for an accident, personal injury protection insurance pays for your injuries. PIP insurance provides coverage for:
